WA Universal completed the demolition and removal of BGC’s processing unit with precision and zero incidents.
The Project
BGC required the complete removal of a high-rise concrete processing unit located within an existing warehouse at Naval Base. The 54-metre structure demanded precise rigging and demolition planning under variable weather conditions, particularly high winds.
The Challenge
We deployed a certified demolition crew including supervisors, operators and riggers. Lightweight roofing and wall sections were removed using a manbox with careful wind monitoring. A 300t and 110t crane were mobilised on site to manage lifts, timed strategically each day to ensure safety and efficiency.
The Result
We safely decommissioned and removed the structure, processing plant components, tanks and elevator within the six-week schedule. The client was highly satisfied with our risk-managed approach and seamless execution.
